Workshops

I am delighted to be teaming up with the lovely April at Saltaire Crafthouse to deliver a series of workshops over the coming months.

The first is ‘Felt ‘n’ Flowers’ on Saturday July 15th- 10am – 4pm

“Working under the expert tuition of talented local artist and textiles designer Anne Crowther, you will begin the day with colour blending fleece – you will make your own unique sheets of felt to hand cut and sew into gorgeous bell flowers, as shown in the photo.

By exploring a variety of other methods to construct flowers from both handmade and commercial felts, you will then be able to create alternative flower shapes.
Needle felt techniques will allow you to go on to explore and create a low relief 2-D flower garden using a range of embellishment techniques and decorative felt surfaces.

At the end of the day you will leave with a minimum of one small vase of felt flowers, a flower garden artwork, lots of samples and the skills and knowledge to continue your flowery felt journey in your own time!”
